Every year, a million people from all over the world visit the pilgrimage church "Die Wies" - a UNECSO World Heritage Site since 1983: the wonderful shapes and colours, the light-filled serenity of the room, the deeply religious piety of the images - and then the experience of beautiful music - all this becomes a delightful overall experience of "Wunder Wies".

At the centre of the Wieskirche is the miraculous image of the Scourged Saviour. Tears shed by the Saviour have become precious pearls from which the magnificent rococo jewel has grown, the pilgrimage church of the Scourged Saviour, which has remained alive "inwardly" to this day as a place of prayer and worship through numerous pilgrimages and church services.
