The Museum of the Bavarian Kings in Hohenschwangau provides an insight into the history of the Wittelsbach dynasty from its beginnings to the present day. The exhibition focuses on King Maximilian II, who had Hohenschwangau Castle converted into a summer residence, and his son, King Ludwig II, the creator of Neuschwanstein Castle.
